At Watershed Wellbeing, you can expect a professional and respectful space to explore the issues that matter most to you. Services are tailored to your unique needs, whether you're seeking support for relationships, sexuality, gender identity, or parenting challenges. Noah provides evidence-based guidance to help you grow, find strength, and navigate life's complexities. How do I know if counselling is right for me?
Evidence-based therapy is the best way to explore and address anxiety, depression and adjustment issues. Many people who are anxious or depressed notice that their reactions are stronger than they’d generally expect and have trouble regulating or tolerating difficult emotions. They can also notice that they are getting caught in loops and stories in their heads that just don’t bring out the best version of themselves.
Alongside this, counselling can also be beneficial if you're facing challenges in your relationships, thinking deeply about your identity or sexuality, experiencing gender-related concerns, or seeking guidance in your parenting journey. If you're looking for a safe, empathetic space to explore these areas of your life, we're here to help. How long does therapy typically take?
There’s no right or wrong answer to this. The duration of counselling varies depending on your needs and what you’d like to get out of therapy. If you are on a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) you can use those 10 sessions weekly or fortnightly, whichever suits you best. The 10 MHTP sessions are not usually considered a full therapeutic process, but they do cover the bulk of sessions for the majority of Noah's clients. Some clients choose to continue on after the MHTP sessions, others transition to a ‘maintenance’ phase of less regular sessions to support the progress they’ve made in therapy. In addition, many people return time to time to address new issues that have arisen in their lives. What types of relationship issues can you help with?
Noah specialises in addressing a wide range of relationship issues, including communication problems, conflicts, intimacy challenges, and more. Whether you're in a romantic relationship, dealing with family dynamics, or facing issues with friends, we can assist you in finding solutions and improving your connections.Do you offer couples sessions?
Yes. In person or Telehealth couples sessions can be incredibly useful. They can be a great opportunity to create a safe space to explore and address issues that are impacting relationships. Sessions often include practicing and coaching on specific communication tools in order to build momentum for all of the connecting work that occurs outside of the sessions. Can you provide support for LGBTQ+ individuals or couples?
Absolutely. Watershed Wellbeing is an inclusive and affirming space for LGBTQ+ individuals and couples. Noah understands the unique challenges you may face and offers support, guidance, and a safe place to discuss relationships in ways that are sensitive to sexuality and gender identity alongside a deep awareness of underlying attachment and communication patterns. How can counselling help with parenting challenges?
